Mark Wisdom movie list
Mark Wisdom is a British screen actor who grew up living in several pubs around Nottinghamshire and often uses memories of customers as inspiration for his characters. He has written & produced several of his own films, worked with an Oscar-winning cinematographer and frequently collaborates with up-and-coming director, Alastair Railton. He has also trained with the Actors Workshop in Nottingham and has been compared to a young Jeremy Brett, Tom Hiddleston and David Tennant. Mark is currently preparing for a feature film adaption of the crime-drama short film, 'Conviction Without Remorse'.
Mark first found success playing Billy in a prominent 2013 stage production of 'The Rise and Fall of Little Voice'. Since then he has had roles in the short films 'Between the Divide' (2017), 'The Prison' (2019), 'Snapshot' (2020) & 'Conviction Without Remorse' (2020), the latter he also co-wrote & produced. Mark and the film's director have since co-written a feature-length version of this script which they are looking to produce.
Mark most recently starred as the villain 'Zherkezhi' in the feature film 'False Front' (2023), 'Percy' in the short film 'Zugzwang' (2023) and Conner in 'Acting Hotshots' (2023). He will also be seen in 2024 as Jake in 'After' and Chris in 'Alleged'.
Mark has frequently returned to the stage to hone his craft and was most recently seen in a Bear Left Theatre Company production entitled 'A Heart to Love'. This saw him tackle several major Shakespeare characters, such as Hamlet and Henry V. Mark has also ventured into Voice Overs and provided his voice to an Instinctive Photography advertisement.
