José Gilberto Vilchis Barrero is an actor, director, announcer, and Mexican music singer. He began his career as a child singer at the age of 5, winning 3rd place at the 2nd Festival Ídolos del Futuro. In 1986 he began doing commercial voiceovers and Latin American Spanish voice dubbing.
He participated as a child in TV commercials. As a young man in a few theatrical plays. And then sang at large venues such as the Zócalo of Mexico City for Mexican Independence Day, and the Auditorio Nacional of Mexico City in Disney's The Lions King Symphonic Concert.
Known for his versatility, voiceover, and acting skills, he has recorded several characters in Latin American Spanish including Uncle Grand Pa for Cartoon Network, Kristoff in Disney's animated features Frozen, Frozen Fever, and Frozen II, Loki in the MCU, Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher a Netflix Original Series and Dr. James Wilson in the Dr. House TV Series.
He has also voiced many lead roles in Japanese anime television series for Latin America like Andromeda Shun in Saint Seiya (Los Caballeros del Zodiaco), Neji Hyuga in Naruto, Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super, Kaien Shiba in Bleach, Kyoya Tategami in Beyblade: Metal Fury, Beyblade: Metal Masters, and Beyblade: Metal Fusion. Recently, he has directed voice dubbing and voiced several video games for Spanish Latin America versions like Gears of War, Detroit, Shadows of Mordor, Injustice, and Days Gone.
