The winner of several national and international awards including the Picture of the Year award at the 1st RNG India Press Award in 2004 organized by English daily, The Indian Express. Shailendra Pandey is an Indian photo editor/ Journalist-turned-film director. He made documentaries for Zee Media and News Nation. Having worked as a photo editor with several renowned publications like Dainik Jagran, Tehelka and PTI, The work of Shailendra has been published in International publications including The Guardian, The Age, People, Le Monde and Courier International and he was selected among the 12 Picture Editors of well-known magazines or newspapers from around the world by Le Monde in 2010. The maiden feature film directorial venture of Shailendra is titled JD, which is based on life and career of the journalists in print media. The film features Govind Namdev, Aman Verma, Vedita Pratap Singh and Surya Mohan Kulshreshtha in important roles. His documentaries are The Black Chapter of Ajmer, The Dirty Business, Red Market, The Undertrials, The Legal Battle, The Investigation etc
