Chandrika Ravi is an Indian artist, born in Melbourne, Australia on the 5th of April 1989. Chandrika took the Indian film industry by storm after debuting with the 2018 Tamil comedy blockbuster 'Irattu Arayil Murattu Kuthu' followed by the Tamil thriller, 'Sei the Film'. With the release of her first Telugu film, 'Chikati Gadilo Chithakkotudu' in 2019 and the bilingual Tamil & Malayalam film, Un Kadhal Irunthal currently in post production; Chandrika has been recognized for her talent and passion, starring opposite and working with some of the biggest names in India and also earning her a social media reach of almost 2 million followers across all platforms. In 2011, she was the first Indian to place in the state finals of Miss World Australia and shortly after that won the title of Miss Maxim India Runner Up 2012; also placing as a state finalist in Miss India Australia. She continues her passion for modeling with many endorsements and partnerships, being published in renowned international magazines and appearing in international campaigns for Ciroc, Schwarzkopf and Beauty Blender to name a few. Chandrika began learning acting and dancing at the age of 3, undergoing extensive training in the classical Indian dance styles of Bharathanatyam, Kathak and Odissi, as well as Bollywood, Indian Folk Dance and Musical Theatre at The Temple of Fine Arts. She also studied Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary at The Australian National Youth Performing Arts Group. She graduated from the New York Film Academy with a diploma in 'Acting for Film' in 2012, and has also studied 'English and Performing Arts' at Murdoch University in Western Australia. Having realised at a young age that she had a passion for public speaking, Chandrika has also hosted events live events and on television and radio all around the world; and is currently working on an original show which brings together her love for travel and food. Ambition, passion, drive, humility and her unique look have attracted many job prospects and wowed audiences around the globe. Through her achievements she has become a role model to Indian females everywhere, one of the biggest blessings she could ever ask for, instilling hope and determination that they too can break the mould! Chandrika aims to use her growing voice to advocate equality and rights for women and girls around the world, especially in India; along with being a spokesperson for mental illness and advocates to help break the taboos that surround it. She is also currently working with UNICEF India as an ambassador and various other NGO'S in India to bring relief to the needy.
